This flagship course covers the theoretical and practical aspects of constructing good portfolios and explains the return sources they tap into. We discuss the insights from Markowitz's portfolio theory and explain the mathematical concepts behind it. We then use our online portfolio risk calculator to work through various portfolio construction experiments before addressing the two main return sources, Alpha and Beta, as well as the underlying CAPM model.
